Your ScoreCastr account holds your matches, teams and plan. This guide covers the account page, changing your password, getting back in when you've forgotten it, and signing out on a shared computer, which matters at a venue where other people use the same laptop.
Open your account page
When you're signed in, your username sits at the top right of the app. Click it to open the account menu:
- Manage my account: your profile and password.
- My Matches: your match list.
- My Teams: saved teams and rosters (Starter and up; shows a lock on Free).
- My Commercials: commercial breaks (Pro and up; shows a lock on lower plans).
- Billing & Plan: your plan, card and invoices. See Free, Starter, Pro and Enterprise.
- Logout
Click Manage my account. The Account Settings page opens with a Profile Summary card at the top and three tabs: Profile, Notifications and Security.
Edit your profile
On the Profile tab:
- First Name and Last Name
- Email Address
- Mobile Phone: optional.
- Time Zone: Eastern, Central, Mountain or Pacific.
Click Save Changes. You'll see "Profile Updated".
The Notifications tab says "Coming Soon". There's nothing to set there yet.
Change your password
- Open Manage my account and click the Security tab.
- Fill in Current Password, New Password and Confirm New Password. The new password needs at least 6 characters, and both new fields must match.
- Click Update Password. You'll see "Password Updated".
If you get "Please log out and log in again before changing your password", do just that: click Logout, sign back in, and try again straight away.
The Security tab also shows whether your email is verified.
Reset a forgotten password
- On the sign-in page, click Forgot Password? under the password field.
- On Reset your password, enter your account email and click Send reset link.
- You'll see Check your email. The link expires in 1 hour.
- Open the email, click the link and choose a new password.
- Go back to the sign-in page and sign in with the new password.
If the email doesn't show up, check spam. You can request another link after a couple of minutes; asking sooner gives "Reset email sent recently".
Verify your email
If you haven't verified yet, Manage my account shows an Email Not Verified notice. Click Resend Verification Email, open the email and click the link. Then click Refresh Status. You can send one verification email every 2 minutes.
You can sign in without verifying, but a verified email makes sure reset links and billing emails reach you.
Sign out
Click your username, then Logout.
Sign out when you finish on a shared computer, like a press box laptop or a school media cart. Anyone who opens the browser while you're still signed in can change your matches.
Fix common sign-in problems
The email or password is rejected. Check the email for typos and make sure caps lock is off. Passwords are at least 6 characters, so a shorter one is a typo. Still stuck? Reset it with Forgot Password?.
"No account found with this email" on the reset page. The account may be under a different address. Try the other emails you use, such as a school address and a personal one.
"Too many failed login attempts. Please try again later." Sign-in is paused after repeated wrong passwords. Wait a while, or reset your password instead of guessing.
"Your browser storage is full." Clear this site's data in your browser's privacy settings, then sign in again.
You're signed in but sent to Choose your plan. Your account hasn't picked a plan yet. Click Start Free or choose a paid plan, and you'll go on to your match list.
