Volleyball has two scores that are easy to mix up: the points in the current set and the sets each team has won. A volleyball feed into ScoreCastr has to keep them apart. This page lists every volleyball field the webhook reads, the formats it takes, and how ScoreCastr records a finished set from the feed.
Before you start
- The Pro plan. The ScoreCastr button on the volleyball Scoring tab opens the Data Hub.
- A webhook turned on for the match: on the Scoreboard OCR tab, pick HTTP Client (Webhooks), click Enable ScoreCastr and copy the Webhook URL. See Send live data by webhook.
- Scoreboard OCR users: see Connect Scoreboard OCR. Request format and replies: Webhook API reference.
Away means the away team from match setup; home is the home team. Field names are case sensitive. Fields you leave out keep their values.

away_score and home_score are sets won, not points. If your scoreboard reader calls the rally score "score", send it as away_current_set_points and home_current_set_points instead.Team stats
Replace away_ with home_ for the home team.

Blocks and errors carry volleyball in the name. Stats must use these snake_case names; values that aren't numbers are skipped.
How a finished set is recorded
The feed never says "set over". ScoreCastr works it out: when the total of sets won goes up by exactly one, it saves the points from the previous update as the finished set and plays the set win animation for the winner.
Some readers reset the points to 0-0 in the same update that adds the set, so the last point can be missing. ScoreCastr fixes the saved score to a real set score: at least 25 for the winner (15 in the fifth set), and two clear of the loser.
For this to work:
- Send the points on every rally, not only at the end of the set.
- Add one set at a time. If sets won jumps by two in one update, neither set is saved.
- Send
setwhen the new set starts.

What the scorebug does on its own
- Timeouts left go down: the timeout flag plays for that team.
- Aces, kills or blocks go up: that stat's popup shows both teams' numbers for a few seconds. It doesn't fire on the update where the set number changes, or when a count drops to 0.
- A set is won: the set win animation, as above.
Fix common problems
The scorebug shows the rally score as sets. Send points in the current set point fields, not away_score.
Finished sets are missing from the scoreboard. Sets won must go up one at a time, with the points sent before the set changes.
The serve dot is on the wrong side. Check which value your reader sends for each team, then map it to away or home.
