Volleyball has no clock. Every rally ends in a point, so the scorebug changes constantly for the whole match. The ScoreCastr volleyball dashboard is built around that: one click per rally, a serve that moves on its own, and one click to close a set. This guide walks through each control.
Set up the match
Create the match: pick Volleyball, name both teams and set their four-character scorebug names. See Create your first match. Open it with Control Dashboard and stay on the Scoring tab.
A new match starts in set 1, with the away team serving and 2 timeouts per team.
Score each rally
The SCORING CONTROLS card has a panel for each team, away first:
- +1 gives that team the point. If the other team was serving, the serve moves across too, so side outs take care of themselves.
- -1 takes a point back. It never moves the serve, so if you undo a side out, click Toggle Serve in the SERVING box.
- S1 to S5 show the team's score in each set.
- CURRENT SET SCORE shows the live score in big numbers.
Win a set
When a set ends, click Win Set for the team that won it. ScoreCastr saves the set score, adds one to that team's Sets Won, and starts the next set at 0-0.
The dashboard plays a best-of-five match. After a team wins its third set, or after set 5, it stays on that set. Click Set FINAL in the SET box to finish the match, and the scorebug shows FINAL.
To fix an earlier set, click its number (1 to 5) in the SET box. That set's score loads as the current score, so you can correct it with +1 and -1. Click the current set's number to go back.
Timeouts
Each team panel shows Timeouts with Use Timeout and Restore. Teams have up to 2.
Timeouts don't reset when a new set starts. Click Restore for each team at the start of each set.
Set point and match point
Each team panel has Set Point and Match Point buttons. Click one to show that tab on the scorebug and click again to take it off. They don't clear themselves when the set ends, so turn them off after Win Set.
On Apex and Primetime, the scorebug can work out set point and match point from the score. The AUTO SET / MATCH POINT: ON button in the Shortcuts card turns it on and off (it starts on).
Stats
The TEAM STATISTICS card (Starter plan) counts Aces, Kills, Blocks, Errors and Digs for each team with minus and plus buttons. Stats don't change the score, so a kill still needs a +1.
The eye button on a row puts that stat for both teams on the scorebug. It stays until you click the eye again. One stat shows at a time.
The sidebar Match Statistics panel (Starter) shows set scores, team stats, timeouts left and who's serving.
The Shortcuts card
The SHORTCUTS card always has HIDE SPONSOR LOGO under VISIBILITY, to turn the scorebug's sponsor spot on and off.
On Apex and Primetime (Starter plan) it adds:
- ACE and BLOCK: one button per team. A click adds one to that team's aces or blocks and plays an ACE or BLOCK flag on the scorebug. It doesn't add the point, so click +1 too.
- TAKEOVERS: Show Winner shows the team ahead on sets as the winner across the bar. It's greyed out while the sets are level.
- SHOW SET SCORES: a set-by-set strip under the scorebug, such as S1 25-20, with the winner of each set highlighted.
- AUTO SET / MATCH POINT, covered above.
Volleyball graphics
On the Starter plan, Overlays, then Customization has Away Starters and Home Starters (seven players, with a libero spot) and Match Stats, next to the title card, scoreboard and player graphics. In the Overlay Visibility panel, Match Stats is listed as Halftime Stats. On Apex and Primetime it has a Show Comparison Bars switch.
Stream Deck codes
Volleyball codes run from 2500 to 2546. Codes need Listening Mode, which comes with the Starter plan.
| Code | Action |
|---|---|
| 2506 / 2508 | Away / Home Point +1 |
| 2507 / 2509 | Away / Home Point -1 |
| 2505 | Toggle Serve |
| 2510 / 2511 | Away / Home Win Set |
| 2512 / 2514 | Away / Home Timeout -1 |
| 2516 / 2518 | Toggle Away / Home Set Point |

There's a ready-made volleyball profile for the MK.2 and XL. The ACE, BLOCK and Show Winner buttons don't have codes. See Set up a Stream Deck.
