Season's over and you want to stop paying until next fall. Or the school card expired and a payment bounced. Everything about paying for ScoreCastr lives on one page in your account. This guide covers cancelling, refunds, failed payments, your card, receipts and currencies.
Open the billing page
Click your username at the top right, then Billing & Plan. The Billing & Subscription page has three cards:
- Current plan: your plan, its status, your Next billing date, and the plan buttons.
- Payment method: the card you pay with (paid plans only).
- Invoice history: your past payments.
Cancel your subscription
- On Billing & Subscription, click Cancel subscription.
- A box asks Cancel subscription? It shows the date your plan's features stay on until.
- Click Cancel subscription to confirm, or Keep subscription to back out.
You'll see "Subscription cancelled", and ScoreCastr emails you a confirmation. The billing page now shows Access until with the date, and a notice that the account moves to the Free plan after that. You aren't charged again.
After the move to Free, your matches, teams and settings stay in your account. The paid features lock, and matches set to Apex or Primetime show in Classic. See Upgrade or change your plan for what changes.
Change your mind
Until the end of the period, the billing page shows Resume subscription. Click it and you'll see "Subscription resumed": the plan renews as normal on your billing date. ScoreCastr emails you to confirm.
After the account has moved to Free, start a new subscription from the pricing page instead.
Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, but refunds are looked at case by case, for example for a billing mistake. To ask for one, contact support within 7 days of the charge and include the date and amount. See Contact support. An approved refund goes back to your card and can take 5 to 10 business days to show.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, for example because the card expired:
- A red bar across the top of the app says Your payment failed. with an Update payment method button. You can close it with the X, but it comes back when you reload the page, until the payment is sorted.
- The billing page shows Payment failed. under Current plan.
- ScoreCastr emails you with a link to pay the invoice.
While a payment is past due, ScoreCastr treats the account as Free for some things, such as how many matches you can create. Click Update payment method and add a working card to restore full access. Do it before game day: if the payment is never made, the subscription can end and the account moves to Free.
Update your card
On Billing & Subscription, click Manage billing (in the Current plan card) or Update card (in the Payment method card). Both open the secure billing page, where you change the card. When you come back you'll see "Billing updated".
The Payment method card shows the card type, its last four digits and its expiry date, or "No card on file."
Receipts and invoices
- By email: after each payment, ScoreCastr emails you a receipt. Three days before each renewal, you also get a reminder.
- On the billing page: Invoice history lists every payment with the amount, the period it covers and its status (Paid or another status in red). Click the link icon on a row to open or download that invoice.
On Free, the list shows No invoices yet.
Currencies
ScoreCastr charges in five currencies: US dollars, British pounds, euros, Canadian dollars and Australian dollars. The pricing page picks the currency from the country you're visiting from, and checkout charges in that currency. In any other country, you pay in US dollars.
Prices are per month. The US dollar prices are $10 for Starter, $25 for Pro and $50 for Enterprise; the price in your currency shows on the pricing page and at checkout. Your invoices show the currency you paid in.
