Not everyone who cares about the game can watch the stream. Parents at work, the team bus, the other school's booster club: they just want the score. Every ScoreCastr match has a public page for that. It shows the live score and the game's stats, works in any phone browser, and needs no sign-in. This guide covers how to share it and what fans see.
Copy the link
- Open the match's Control Dashboard.
- In the sidebar, click Share Match. On a phone or narrow window, the sidebar sits below the main controls, so scroll down to find it.
- You'll see Link copied! and the public page opens in a new browser tab, so you can check it.
- Paste the link into your team's social posts, group chat, website or email.
If your browser won't let ScoreCastr copy, you'll see Couldn't copy the link with the full link written out. Copy it by hand, or copy it from the address bar of the tab that opened.
The public page comes with every plan, including Free.
What fans see
The top of the page is a large scorecard:
- Both team names and logos, in your team colors. A team with no logo shows its first letter in a colored circle.
- The score in big numbers.
- A status line under the score, such as the period and clock, the inning, the set or Final.
- A red Live badge while the match is in progress. It goes away when the match is over.
For a soccer match that goes to penalties, a shootout tracker appears under the scorecard.
The page updates on its own every few seconds. Fans don't need to refresh it.
The tabs on the page
Under the scorecard are three tabs. The first one depends on the sport:
| Sport | First tab |
|---|---|
| Soccer, field hockey | Stats |
| Baseball, softball, basketball, ice hockey | Box Score |
| Football | Scoring |
| Volleyball | Sets |
| MMA | Scorecard |
| Tennis, pickleball | Score |
| Swimming | Results, then Team Standings |
The other tabs are Roster (team players, when the match has rosters) and Share. On a phone, the tabs show icons only.
Share buttons for fans
The Share tab has a Share This Match section with buttons for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. Each one opens that app's share screen with the page link. Twitter and WhatsApp also add a line of text with the team names and the current score.
Fans can use these to pass the page along, which helps when you can't reach every family yourself.
Embed the scorebug on a website
Below the share buttons is Embed This Match. Click it to open the Embed Scorebug card:
- Pick a size: Small, Medium, Large or Custom (enter a width and height).
- Choose Background On (a dark panel behind the scorebug) or Off (see-through, so your page shows behind it).
- Click Copy Embed Code and paste it into your website.
The embedded scorebug updates on its own every few seconds, like the public page. For tips on where to put it on a school or club site, see the Eighty Five Studios guide linked on this page.
The link stays the same
The public page link belongs to the match, so it never changes during the game. You can post it before the game starts, and fans see the final once it's over. If you start the match over with Reset Match, the same link shows the fresh score.
If you delete the match, the page stops working and fans see "Failed to load match data. Please try again later." See Reset or delete a match.
Public page or overlay link
| Public match page | Overlay link (Channel 1 or 2) | |

| From | Share Match | Overlays, then Live Preview |
| Shows | Score, stats, rosters, share buttons | Your broadcast graphics |
