Show yellow and red cards

Put a yellow or red card on the scorebug with the player's number, count it for the team, and clear cards from the screen early.

When the referee reaches for a card, viewers want to know who got it. ScoreCastr shows the card under the team on the scorebug with the player's number, and adds it to the team's card count. This guide covers showing a card, what each template draws, clearing cards and the matching Stream Deck codes.

Short versionIn the soccer SCORING CONTROLS card, type the player's number in the team's No. box, then click YELLOW CARD or RED CARD for that team. The card shows for a few seconds and counts toward the team's total.

Show a card

The card buttons sit in the SCORING CONTROLS card on the soccer Scoring tab, below the goal scorer boxes. The away team's buttons are on the left and the home team's on the right.

  1. Type the player's shirt number in that team's No. box.
  2. Click YELLOW CARD or RED CARD for the team.

The card shows on the scorebug for a few seconds, then goes away on its own. The number box keeps its value, so clear it or type over it before the next card.

You can leave the No. box empty. The card still shows and counts, just without a number.

Cards work on every plan.

What viewers see

Template What shows
Classic A YELLOW #7 or RED #7 flag under the team, and the team's side of the scorebug pulses
Apex YELLOW or RED with #7 under the team, and the team's side pulses
Primetime YELLOW CARD or RED CARD with #7

On Apex and Primetime, each team shows one card at a time, and a new card for the same team replaces the one showing.

Clear cards from the screen

CLEAR ALL CARDS takes any cards off the scorebug straight away, for both teams. Use it when play restarts before it goes, or if you showed a card by mistake.

It doesn't change the card counts. Cards already given stay in the team's total.

How cards count

Each card adds one to the team's yellow or red total. Those totals show in:

  • The sidebar Match Statistics panel (Starter plan), under Yellow Cards and Red Cards.
  • The scorebug stats panel, if you pick Yellow Cards or Red Cards as one of the four stats (see Run a soccer match).
  • The Halftime Stats graphic, if you choose them as a category there.
  • The PDF from Download Box Score.

There's no minus button for cards on the dashboard. If you add a card by mistake, the count stays until you use Reset Match on the Game Actions tab, which resets the whole match. So check the team before you click.

Stream Deck codes

Code Action
2116 Away Yellow Card
2117 Away Red Card
2118 Home Yellow Card
2119 Home Red Card

The codes show and count the card, but without a player number. For a number, use the dashboard buttons. Codes need Listening Mode, which comes with the Starter plan, and there's no code for CLEAR ALL CARDS. See Set up a Stream Deck.

Fix common problems

The card showed without a number. The No. box for that team was empty when you clicked. Type the number first, then click the card button.

The wrong number showed. The box still had the last player's number. Type over it before each card.

The card went to the wrong team. The buttons on the left are the away team's. Click CLEAR ALL CARDS to take it off screen. The count for the wrong team stays.

Checklist
